Week 5th: Harmony and tranquility

From March 18th till March 24th

Hello dear all!

This is our last week according to the prescription of the diet!

Now I can say that time is running really fast. Honestly, we got used to our nutrition programme so well that we decided to extend it until the Finnish Championship in April. And only after that we would begin to try and add one product / ingredient to our diet checking if there any allergies might appear.

Breakfast. Fresh fruits and berries(blueberries or raspberries). Some mornings we had rye bread with plant based margarine and sliced avocado or chicken meat on top. And some days just oat porridge.

No sweets. We completely forgot about the sweets! If you remember at the beginning I was writing how much I would like to eat something sweet. But over time and our nutrition, I stopped feeling that I actually needed sugar or sweets at all. Only in the beginning we once tried jam. Also the same story with Vegan protein drinks which we practicaly stopped drinking because the body constantly received all the necessary vitamines and elements, and all metabolic processes passed very quick in tour bodies.

Snack. After our practises we had an oat based yogurt snack. Dinner. Either chicken or turkey meat. Salad, and either potatoes or sweet potatoes (only one third of the portion) for a side dish. Somehow we didn’t really eat rice(we had brown rice) during these 5 weeks just a couple of times. But this is also a good resource of carbohydrates as an option! This week I baked quite frequently eggplants in the oven. I just cut them in rings, some olive oil, salt and pepper, and for about 25 minutes in the preheated oven for 200 degrees Celsius.

Salad. I really liked the salad of cucumbers and radishes with olive oil in the last week. Very light.

This week we looked even more diligently over our meals. After all, in a couple of weeks we are going to have our national championship.
We both stopped to feel any heaviness in my stomach. Or any swellings in the morning or evening as it was before. It became much easier to wake up in the morning. The most viable thing is to say that we simply are feeling good.

Changes in the body sensations in dancing:

  • Less tired
  • Pulse during long practises is normalising faster
  • Shortness of breath reduced a lot
  • Stamina’s focus remains longer. The feeling when you dance the finale or some kind of dance for a long time you can no longer control your body and thoughts has passed.
