Day 5: Why do I feel tired?

Good morning guys!

Breakfast. For the breakfast I had a rye porrige (Nalle ruispuuro) with oat milk (kaurajuoma by kaslink Aito with 1,5% fat) with sugar. Of course a cup of coffee too.
Really like it, guys! For me even a half of portion was enough and nourishing!

In the morning I woke up completely exhausted. This time my tiredness was different. I felt like I did not have enough vitamins in my body, as within the beginning of this diet I didn’t get enough of them with food.

Honestly, I was ready to quit this diet so strange, tired and exhausted I felt. And yet we decided to continue!

Vegan multivitamins for a try. Anton bought this complex of vitamins which is designed specifically for vegans. Although we know we consume white meat still most of all our portions are filled with greens and veges, and we don’t eat so many different food products with this nutrition program.

Our dinner. Our evening meal contained of boiled potatoes (2 small ones), fried pulled oats with oat cream (1/2 of the pack) and vegetables with different green mixes. For dessert, 3-4 dates, passion fruit and some slices of melon for me.

Dates. Since we are eating them quite a lot as a dessert I think it’s time to write a little bit about their benefits:

  • First of all, dates contain a large amount of dietary fiber, which normalizes the work of the digestive tract.
  •  The presence of pantothenic acid indicates that it regulates body’s metabolism, increases immunity resistance in respiratory diseases, control the work of the nervous system. It also increases stress resistance and your sleep becomes more full and healthy.
  •  A large amount of retinol, or otherwise, vitamin A, in dates will help you keep the hair healthy, and the nails, teeth and bones – beautiful and strong!
  • Dates contain the most important element for the body – potassium. It supports heart muscles, as well as skeletal muscles. Helps support strength in long journeys, activates the brain work, enhances concentration of attention, improves memory. In case of puffiness: due to the acceleration of metabolic processes, the excess fluid is eliminated from the body.
  • Vitamins in dates increases its nutritional value significantly: Thiamine (B1); Riboflavin (B2); Niacin (B3); Pyridoxine (B6); Folacin (B9); Ascorbic acid (Vit. C); Vitamin D; Vitamin K.Full complex of all useful substances such as: Iron; Magnesium; Phosphorus; Sodium; Zinc; Copper; Manganese. But this is not even a full list of important substances in dates.

So I’ll definitely take them with us during trainings as a snack!
